New Buddies

The newest bunch with sprig on the top-left squalking about something. She is testy these days maybe because the muskrat ate all of the eggs she was sitting on! Spotts to her left; seems that the white ring which is supposed to be around his neck spilled down onto his breast in vitreo. There are some, primarily in England and Australia, who raise these male ruen ducks to be shown and rated as to color of plumage and consistency to a prescribed standard. So por spots would be an outsider as would his brother adjacent with no white at all. The two males battled for primacy with bullyboy being finally put in his place by spotts. A wondrous spectacle. Another female is off to the right-- standoffish as usual. But she looks just like the female in front, just not as friendly.

  14. Love your new family, Goatman. The markings on Spotts are interesting. You couldn't have given him a better name! Maybe when those pesky muskrats have their backs turned, you'll get chicks running around. I do have to say, there is little on the planet cuter than a chick.

Hope all is well with you and yours! Blessings from my end of the universe to yours!

  15. Goatman, you give such personality to your fine feathered friends. I like that.

I am an animal lover through and through. So is my hubby. Yesterday he told me about a sad story involving three geese. It was told to him by a man who works in conservation with wild life.

These three geese were starting to cross a busy road when the conservationist was passing by. He hoped that cars would stop and allow the geese to cross safely. But when this man came back by not longer afterwards, he discovered that one of the geese had been hit and was laying alongside the road. The other two geese were nudging the one which had been hit trying to get him to move and join them. When the man told my husband this story, he started to tear up. I bet my husband had to choke back the tears as well. He is that kind of guy.

Thanks for stopping by my blog with the Susie Q song. I really liked it.

  17. I have been having conversations about conversations going on 'behind the outward sounds' of animals, just like these ducks for instance.

Try it, (if you haven't already), Goatman, listen to them quacking their normal banter, listen behind the banter, or inside it, well inside of it, for a whole nother conversation, one that is actually going to make you know that the ducks have a soulness that is constant communication with itself thru the separate duck beings, try it Goatman, you are priveleged to have these ducks near to you so you should be able to eventually attune to their soul behind their bodies, one soul speaking within itself and to itself, thru the separate beings, just like us my friend.

Love and Peace to you Goatman.

  18. What Jim said is just beautiful. I'm glad I came back to read these comments today. Indeed, a very beautiful description of the conversation of Oneness. It's utterly splendid that these things get noticed.
