  1. It is in deep solitude that I find the gentleness with which I can truly love my brothers. The more solitary I am, the more affection I have for them. Solitude and silence teach me to love my brothers for what they are, not for what they say. (by Thomas Merton)

  2. I can relate goatman, did I ever tell you that I met a friend of E.Abbey in Memphis, and so came to read his books, unfortunately at that time, there wasn't enought of them, he was such a good writer, but didn't have the inventory one wanted from him. I haven't looked into him and his work since then due to many demanding things, and now, along with most other niceties of life, i have been stripped of my library card, lol, bad, maybe i will check into him some other way.

  4. Beautiful, Goatman. Thanks for dropping by my blog, if you hadn't I would not have found this beautiful spot, balm for the soul.

I also agree that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Many people I can love at a distance, more than up close.
